New Leaf have now established a brand new course which will enable all advisors and entrepreneurs the opportunity to define or redefine their future plans, goals and dreams.

The reason for the name Gateway - is to enable the individual to open the door to an even brighter future.

This is not a course to make you feel good - it is a course that will guarantee to increase your income and maximise your business or your money back.

The course is being run by a highly esteemed individual, the Managing Director of New Leaf:

Mark Hobbs - Course Leader

A self motivated academic who graduated in Psychology and social policy with The Open University and is recognized as an International class trainer.

He has an award winning track record of increasing profit through sales training, business development mentoring and coaching corporate strategy.

RECENT CAREER ACHIEVEMENTS:

  1. Won the 'Business Innovation Award' with the IFS School of Finance as most innovative product.
  2. Built a top 20 financial services network from scratch with no loans or overdrafts. Built this business to a £1million turnover within 6 months.
  3. Trained over 3000 individuals and counting to have their own business and their own freedom.

Day 1

Self employment/running your own business

What are the actions to be self-employed. (Practical session that delivers all the tools to be self-employed). How to get started. Dealing with the tax-man. Registering for NICs. Joining Business Link and The Chamber of Commerce and the IOD.

Newleaf Alignment

Ensuring that all the benefits of Newleaf are communicated as well as who is who and what is what and contacts etc.

The Business Plan

'The man with a plan can' AKA 'if you don't know where you are going, any road will do'. How to put together a business plan that meets the needs of the business and your personal goals. The following sessions will plug into the plan. The structure of the plan will be provided to all delegates to enable them to formulate their personal business plan on exiting the course.

The outcome - will need to see each of these plans to sign off and Chris will need a copy to ensure that in his role he can make his communication plan specific.

The Financials

What is the KPI of managing a business in this industry? What is your financial 'life line'? How much do you need? What is your average case size? What are the actions that you must take to deliver the number of cases that pay your bills?

Day 2

Marketing the Business/Prospecting

How to generate the leads that you need to deliver your plan. If you cannot generate leads you will die...either a quick death or a slow one. Face to face prospecting, claim staking, trusts, centres of influence, referrals, introducers' agreements and the disciplines of doing this.

Time Management/Activity Management

What are the key actions that ensure that you get paid? What percentage of time should address these actions? What we get paid for, should be actioned first.

Analysis of your own business

What should you look for? 90 day review crucial. What is it, why is it crucial? Here we will talk about being in a good position to critique the plan. Being in a position to correct the business plan when and where necessary.

Goal setting

How to do it? Why to do it? How to plug the goals into the business plan. How to make tasks goal specific?

Sales

Acquisition of sales skills. Here Mark will be discussing the basic skills required to enable you to go out to the client and sell. This area of the course will help you to identify - What you are selling - Why you are selling it - where you are selling it - Who you are selling it to - and when the activity is going to take place.
